Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training (HAZWOPER)
This online or Live training will qualify you to work on the Gulf Coast Oil Spill
HAZWOPER training is required for all marine spill response operations conducted in the Gulf Coast Oil Spill cleanup.
Marine oil spill responders face a variety of health and safety hazards, including fire and explosion, oxygen deficiency, exposure to carcinogens and other chemical hazards, heat and cold stress, and safety hazards associated with working around heavy equipment in a marine environment. A full discussion of these hazards is included as part of our training courses. We prepare workers to anticipate and control exposure to the hazards associated with their assigned duties.
Our online and live classes meet Federal OSHA requirements and make it easy to acquire the training you need to go to work on this catastrophic oil spill. Employers must meet certain safety requirements to conduct HAZWOPER operations and workers must undergo a training-certification process. Certified workers then identify, remove, package, transport and dispose of petroleum product, and other toxic materials that occur from this emergency spills or are present at contaminated sites. HAZWOPER workers ensure the safety of the oceans, beaches, land where our houses, office buildings, shops and they provide much-needed clean up operations. Marine oil spill responders need training to work safely around potential hazards and this comprehensive training program will prepare & qualify you for the many companies that are hiring oil spill response workers.
